i have lots of things to say. just getting bogged down with the loads of work at office, for a change and not finding time to blog.
hmmm, i just got these questions into my mind. how does a plane survive when it is hit by rain drops? when the plane is travelling at a speed of say, 800-900km/h, how does it withstand droplets
of water hitting it with atleast the same relative speed (assuming the horizontal velocity of water
is zero because they are coming down vertically or negligible because their speed is negligible
up there when they just started to fall). An average speed of a bullet from an average rifle is around 1400km/h(yeah, its 1400kmph. i googled ). ok, i remember somebody telling me that
the view of clouds from the top, i.e from the window of a plane is simply awesome. its ok if the plane is above the clouds until the rain stops or it has reached another place where there is no rain. but what if it hadn’t. how does it withstand a rain of bullets shooting all over it as it is moving? its body should be bullet-proof. imagine the plight of a pilot who can see the bullets and only the bullets before him!!! i hope it is not as bad as iam imagining.

my friend, satish is coming by a flight from delhi. It is about time for the landing of his plane and it is raining heavily outside. that’s the context for these questions in my mind

Every morning, as i wait for bus at the stop near my home, a small creature
used to keet me occupied, until a fews days back. It is a puppy, born a month
back probably. The first time i saw it, it was a ugly looking, thin, tiny puppy
which almost staggered as it walked. i thought that it must have been lost from
its parents. poor thing, who will feed it and teach a dogs way to live in
this world. i always saw it searching busily for something, i don’t know what,
in and around the bus stop. something to eat? may be. but one sunday evening,
(it was evening, by the time i decided and got ready to go to office ) i saw
two dogs coming to the bus stop and this little puppy running after one of the
dogs frantically. it followed her where ever she went. yeah, its a ’she’
because it must be the mother of this puppy. i felt happy for the puppy, since
it has found its parents and now its parents will take care of it. but to my
surprise, i saw it wandering around bus stop again the next day morning. so,
they didnot take it away!!! i got angry on the parent dogs. how can they leave
such a kid alone. i developed a liking towards this tiny thing in no time as
will anyone who watches it everyday. This puppy doesn’t know anything. someone
has to teach her what should be taught to a newly born creature. it doesn’t
know what to eat, how to move on a road in between people. it has to learn
everything by experience which might turn out to be dangerous sometimes. it
never looks up to see whats around. it crosses the road leisurely as if it is
walking on an empty roadside. vehicles stop for it to pass by here and there as
it crosses the road. that’s one of its activity which attracts almost everyones
attention in the bus stop. noone can resist but smile at its innocence,
and watch the way it strolls from one side of the road to the other.

But one day, one bad day, while on its way back to bus stop from the other side of the road a biker didnot wait for it. i was restlessly looking at my watch
waiting for the bus, when i heard its sqeaks from the middle of the road. it
lay there struggling for life and a car was honking on it to move. it kept on
squeaking and convulsing. Meanwhile a person went to it, and tried to move it with his leg! he then held it by its neck, got it to the bus stop and threw it
to one side. what a way to help a suffering puppy! every one is looking at it
doing nothing, including me. what can be done? it is still convulsing, no trace
of blood on the body, don’t even know where it go hurt. what can i do to help
it. i went near and stared helplessly at it. i don’t know of any veternary hospitals aroundand have a meagre hope of its survival. i was just wishing for
somebody to help it and but i didn’t do it myself. after a while, the bus to my office has come and i took it with a heavy heart. the squeaking puppy flashed
to my mind many times in office. i just prayed for its life and wished to see
it the next day morning. i told my brother and aunt about this after i got back
to my home in the night. my aunt commented that it would not have
been the same if it were a human being. yes, it wouldn’t have been so, i thought. i never supported the society of people for animals, blue cross etc., i never found a reason to bother about animals when there are so many people
dying of hunger and leading miserable lives. i always thought that this must be sorted out first, before thinking about animals. but iam wrong. people will rush to help a person met with an accident, but there is no one to help an animal in the same situation. it just has to wait there suffering until death heals its wounds. it can’t speak, it can’t say where its paining, where its hurting, can’t ask for help. i still give priority to helping fellow individuals, trying to make their lifes better. but yes, there are a few people out there who are ready to help these helpless creatures and i support their cause. if i only i had the blue-crosses number, i would have called them, and may be they would have taken care of the puppy. the only thing i can do now, is
to have their number in my address book, so that i can atleast call them, if not provide a direct help. Here is the hyd blue cross no, in case you want to know - 0403544355.

By the way, i haven’t seen the puppy again near the bus stop. don’t know whether it is alive or not.
